Welcome to this, the May edition, of the Clementine Toys newsletter. We try to steer clear of the standard plastic toys that are available in the high street and we like to think we offer you something a little more durable and a little more traditional. None of our toys need batteries, just a little imagination! In this newsletter we have tried to show you some of the exciting developments that have happened on our website, as well as introduce some of our new ranges to you. We hope you find it useful. If you have any comments, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone.

Thomas Bishop
Clementine Toys are proud to announce that we have a very new member to the team...

Thomas Bishop was born on April 14th, weighing in at 6lb and 14oz. After lengthy negotiations, Thomas has accepted the position of Chief Toy Tester saying he is "looking forward to getting my teeth into the toys" . We will be bringing you news of his verdicts in future newsletters.
New Logos
Clementine Toys want all our customers to be able to make an informed choice about the products that they buy. To ensure you have the best information possible, we have been working with Excellart, (www.excellart.co.uk) the ethical marketing and design company, to produce a set of clear, understandable logos to use with every product. The logos will tell you whether an item is Fair Trade or organic, as well as the recommended age for each toy. There is also a logo showing you what is new on the site since you last visited! We hope that these will help make choosing your toys a little easier.
Figure of 8 Track Set
We always love to hear from you if you have any ideas or would like us to stock something in particular. Brio compatible railway sets kept coming up when we asked you what you would like to see on our site. So...here you are! As of this month we have started to stock a selection of Brio compatible train sets, ranging from a small starter set, ideal for a gift or first train set, right up to a whole freight set including 130 pieces and 11 metres of track!

The picture shows the 43 piece wooden train set which comes with trains, carriages, vehicles, people, a little village and a figure of 8 track layout that measures 46 cm x 104 cm. This set is ideal as a starter kit or would make a perfect add on to an existing collection. The train track is compatible with Brio and all popular makes of wooden train sets and is suitable from 36 months.

Wooden Castle
We are giving away a great prize in this competition - A wooden castle and figures worth almost £70. All you have to do is spend £15 or more in one transaction before 1 August and you will be entered into the draw for the castle. The winner will be notified by email within 28 days of the competition closing.

The working drawbridge and fifteen vividly coloured characters are not the only things to make this castle so unique. The easy to slot in walls and preassembled towers are constructed using strong New Zealand pine making this a must for any imaginative child. The fifteen figures include 4 Knights on horses, 6 men-at-arms, a king and queen, prince and princess as well as the obligatory dragon!
