| Keep on Growing! We are very pleased to announce that we are growing the team here at Clementine Toys. Marie has now moved full time to working on ours (and your!) accounts. This has allowed Nicky to join our team and she now runs the order processing, packing and despatch side of things. As a mum of two, Nicky knows how important toys are and with her fantastic eye for detail, she is committed to making sure your orders are dealt with as speedily and as efficiently as possible.
The promised range of childrens books is now in stock and proving to be a extremely popular addition to our range. With everything from childrens classic fairy tales, through to story books and junior encyclopedias, we are confident we have something for everyone. | | We love making plans. We are also passionate about providing products that will last and will grow with your child. That's why we are very excited about our latest plan to introduce a range of childrens books. Specially selected hardback, softback and bath friendly books will complement our range of toys, leading nicely from playtime to storytime. We will be stocking classics, contemporary and fun books across a range of ages so your library can grow with your child. We hope the first books will be available by the end of February 2009 and we would love to hear from you if you have any favourites, any classics you would love to see or any much loved stories from your childhood. | The Story so far... Clementine Toys is a truly family run business based in Southampton, Hampshire. The idea for a traditional toy business began in 2001 when Lucy and Mike Bishop went on a trip to a German Christmas Market in Cologne. In the shadow of the great cathedral there, they were dazzled by the sheer number of high quality, traditional toys on display. Having brought gifts for all their friends with young families, the response was phenomenal. Cries of "We have looked everywhere for toys like this" and " "We love traditional wooden toys" encouraged them to establish an internet based business they could run from home so they could spend time with their family.
From this little acorn, a great oak is growing, and Clementine Toys has gone from strength to strength. Offering only the very best quality traditional wooden toys to parents desperate for an alternative to the disposable, plastic culture we live in today. Focussing on Fair Trade, Organic and sustainable products, with a minimum of packaging, Clementine Toys are committed to providing toys that are educational, durable, stimulating but most of all...FUN!
The team has grown rapidly and Marie (mother of three) now runs all the order processing, packing and dispatch. She cares about every order and has a real desire to ensure that your toys reach you in the fastest possible time and in perfect condition.
The best advertising we can get is from our many very satisfied customers recommending us to all their friends and family. Every company these days also needs professional help to ensure they reach as wide an audience as possible so we have Alexia (mother of three - congratulations Alexia!) to deal with the promotion, marketing and advertising of Clementine Toys.
Then last, but by no means least is Thomas Bishop (aged 11 months). As Chief Toy Tester he provides a very valuable opinion and casts a critical eye over all our products.

|  | About Us At Clementine Toys, we want to provide you with an alternative to the highly commercial, over packaged toys provided by many high street stores.
Our wooden toys are made to last and are a delight to hand down through the family. We place considerable emphasis on safety ensuring all our toys are certified to the CE standard and above.
Throughout our range of toys, the impact on the environment has been considered. A large proportion of our wooden toys are sourced from Fair Trade suppliers whose products are made from rubberwood from exhausted rubber plantations that are replanted every 10 - 15 years. The remainder use wood taken from sustainable forests.

| The vast majority of our soft baby items are made from 100% natural materials, with many being 100% organic too. All our packaging is kept to a minimum. We place as much emphasis on safety as we do on fun so all our lines carry the CE mark of approval as an absolute minimum.
